When I get home I put my things (coat, purse, etc) in my drop zone area. Hubs has his spot too. It just has something to do with the layout of our home. We don’t have a real entry area or mudroom space. I hope to change that with our remodel but in the meantime things remain as they have.
Now I don’t know about you but I end up in the kitchen next. I do this at my parent’s house too. First stop, the kitchen. So, naturally this seemed to be the next place we go on our organization quest.
If you go out there and plug in kitchen organization into any search box a kajillion results pop up. I’m sure you don’t have time for that so I did the leg work for you. Here I wanted to share with you what I felt were the main pains we all can commiserate on. And to help matters I have employed a couple in my own home so I can vouch for their performance.
This cart is amazing! I picked one up at IKEA awhile back and put all of my baking ingredients in it. Sugar, flour, vanilla. All of it. Now when I bake I just roll the cart over to the counter. Makes clean up a breeze and I know what I have on hand with a quick glance.
Love this idea! I have several magazine files that I plan to use for this once we have our upper cabinets installed. If you are looking for inexpensive options, IKEA has several starting at a couple dollars for 5 of them.
Would you believe it if I told you this idea is using another IKEA product? I have one of these bins under my kitchen sink to coral cleaning products. Fits several wide, skinny bottles plus vinegar. Need to pick up a couple more after seeing this!
This is genius! While at the Container Store a couple months ago I picked up a couple of bins to do this with. Key is to make sure there is some sort of ventilation on the bins to allow the air to circulate and keep things frozen.
This is a good start with things that can be done in a matter of minutes to no more than a couple of hours depending on organization need. Happy organizing! 😊
