Hope your week has treated you well. One of my biggest accomplishments this week was meeting up with my cookie dealer for our annual swap in the Costco parking lot. The lengths one goes to for Girl Scout Cookies!
This week also brought us closer to our trip to Italy. Once I start doing research I can’t stop! If I want to get anything done I have to limit myself and only look up things at certain times. Ever have that sort of thing happen to you?
I have also been working on my Italian. It’s become obvious that my studying skills have become quite rusty over the years. It’s almost like riding a bike but it’s not. I’ve had to relearn how to take in the information and retain it. Going better now but man is it frustrating when you think you’ve got a handle on something only to find out that you don’t.
To help me cope I searched out our favorites for the week. I hope you enjoy!
Be still my heart. There isn’t one piece of this room that I can find that I don’t like. I love the contrast of the rafter and chandelier against the lighter colors of the walls and floor. The transom window above the entry into the kitchen is my favorite.
My dream kitchen would have a marble counter on the island I think. It is just so clean and inviting. The wood plank wall brings your eyes to the detail in the windows and then to the apron front sink. Keeping the look going with the shelves and stove hood is a nice touch.
How cool is this?! Such a neat detail to have. Great to put near the door for keys or at a media wall for remotes.
This office has so much space! I have a habit of spreading out while working so this desk set up would work well for me. Love the seagrass look for the pin board.
The bath fixtures are striking against the marble in this bath. Having the recessed ledge there is smart for bath products. I’m totally installing one when we remodel the bath!
So inviting! That bed looks so fluffy and cozy and I don’t know if I’d ever get out of it! Love how well the gray works with the shades of brown in this room. Notice the gray stripe running along the inner corner of the headboard. Such detail!
With spring upon us and that big spring cleaning looming it seemed a good place to start tidying up is with the old to-do list. I like making a list. There is such gratification that comes from crossing something off of it.
Wishing you a terrific weekend!
