Kinda snuck up on me! Been a steady week, not too busy but not too slow.
This is a big time of the year for us. See it’s March Madness and we get a little competitive. We have a pool for Hubs’s office and I’m the official score tallier. My goal every year is to beat Hubs and I’ve fallen short the last couple years. Brackets were due in Thursday morning before the first game and I spent a little time getting mine completed. I am confident that this year’s sheet is a good one!
This week has me continuing my Italian lessons and so far I have memorized over 60 words and phrases. Hit a snag on some verb usage but finally got over that. I’m finding that it’s very similar to Spanish and that’s where I’m really hitting some bumps. I took Spanish for 5 years in school and while I don’t necessarily remember a lot of it it is coming back to me a bit. Trying to overcome mixing in Spanish words for Italian words when they are similar. Some of the words are so similar that they’re only a letter off or a slightly different pronunciation.
I have begun serious strategizing for the next project with our home remodel and think I’m ready to start on the kitchen cabinets. The new upper cabinets were hung above the existing ones and have an end cabinet left to be installed. Trying to decide if we go with all new doors or just the uppers. With the addition we can have either the new ones made like the ones we have or redo all of them. If we redo all of them I’m thinking we’ll go with a flat front style to give them an updated, timeless look.
Have a great weekend and here’s our favorites this week!
The minute I saw this living room I wanted it! All of the different elements at work here are amazing. Love the accent wall with the gray tile and giant gray pouf. The oversized light hanging over the nested tables is an eye catcher. The use of the basket as a magazine catch is a must in any home.
One of my downfalls is a white kitchen with wood flooring. It is even more so with an apron front sink. This is pebbled style has my name all over it! The tile for the backsplash adds some sass and interest.
This monotone cream bath is so soothing. I’m not one to take baths but this tub is so inviting. And who doesn’t love an oversized rain shower head?
The layout of the shiplap on the walls in vertical and horizontal directions works so well here. Love the contrast of the dark floors to the white walls. The style is kept so simple.
This bedroom is swoon worthy. It looks so very cozy. Again my favorite style, white walls with wood flooring. It is so clean and inviting to me. The rustic wood headboard adds just enough texture. Love all of the mouldings too.
I have always loved the idea of a travel journal but never really knew how to put one together. When I came across this I had an aha moment. Definitely will be doing this, especially for the Italy trip!
