Missed this last week! Had some life happening and got off track with my week. Rather than rush through creating a not-so-great post I though I’d just take the extra time to find some great favorites for this week.
When I said I got off track I really got off track! I wanted to get some sample paint up on our cabinets but missed my chance. I think it may work out for the better though as I found a local chalk paint class doing demonstration on kitchen cabinets. Had considered using chalk paint for the cabinets but had never worked with chalk paint before. I’ve read that it is a simple, time-saving process for this endeavor.
One thing I was excited to have accomplished this past week was a couple of travel items. For Italy we found a cooking school to take a class on pasta and tiramisu making. Class was available and we were able to book it. Then my best friend, Sunni, and I have decided on an itinerary for our yearly trip south. Got our flights booked and bags are waiting to be packed!
Now to enjoy the rest of the flight and work on my Italian flash cards. Here are this weeks favorites!
As I ready myself to begin painting our kitchen cabinets I can’t help but to seek out kitchen cabinets for inspiration. Plan is to go white but then I see an off the norm color that looks beautiful. Especially here with the flooring and it’s rustic feel.
I am drawn to this space. The crispness of it. How striking the navy is against the snow white of the trim framing it. And the chrome chandelier goes well in this dining room.
That rug! Can you imagine your bare feet hitting that fluffy rug when you wake in the morning? I can. And then I’d go out to enjoy a cup of coffee on that balcony. Such a soothing bedroom.
What a luxurious shower! One of my favorite bath looks is marble tiling such as this. It just gives such a clean look I think. The heated towel bar is the perfect finishing touch.
Such a great way to use that space under the stairs. And with the pillar it seems as though it is it’s own room. I would add a couple of lamps flanking the chairs otherwise it is a perfect space!
Seems fitting to share a travel bit as I make my Vegas today. I won’t lie, I tend to be a bit of a nervous flier. Weird I know given I’ve flown so many times. Just get a small bit of anxiety and found that music helps me tremendously. It was such a godsend when they allowed devices to be on gate to gate. I can plug in and play a game to keep my mind off things.
