Happy Friday! Hope your week treated you well!
Seems like the week had just started yet here we are at Friday. Trying to think about what went down this week but it’s been a blur! Spent part of the week prepping for the trip to Florida to see family. Made a couple test dishes and settled on one for our Mother’s Day brunch. Was going back and forth on whether or not to take powdered sugar on the plane with me. Have decided against it cause I don’t want to get delayed. I can see it now, “ma’am, what’s the white stuff in the baggy?”. Although, it would lend to a great story!
It seems an end of spring trip always leads to shopping. The change in seasons has me realizing that I need to get in gear cause my summer stuff just isn’t fitting quite how I remember. Mom and I have talked about bike riding on the trail near their house. Thinking we need to get on that when I get back. Also should cut back on baked goods. Maybe.
Looking forward to the day today and the ones to follow. Get to see Mom before I head out to give her Mother’s Day present to her. Also to get pedis cause you can’t go to the beach without making your toes pretty. Well, you could but you shouldn’t! Anything exciting planned for your weekend?
Thought we’d glam it up a bit for this week’s favorites!
The windows allow a lot of light in to counteract the mostly dark decor in this living room. The lighter colored sofa and side chair add to it by helping to make it not seem like a cave. The added pillows on the sofa are welcoming.
In my experience you can never have enough counter space! With the 2 islands in this kitchen there definitely isn’t a lack of them. Love the contrast of the white island with the dark cabinets. The end cap details on the island are nice as are the light fixtures.
LOVE this pantry! The bead board lining the backs of the open cabinetry is a great touch. Plus the library ladder makes it easy to grab anything from the upper shelves without having to fetch a stepladder.
This is such a spacious bedroom. My favorite part is the barrel ceiling and arched window. I wouldn’t want to hide those in a bedroom.
Who wouldn’t want this closet? Really like the use of the corner by adding a cute little window seat. The vanity nook is great too.
Creative use of space by not allowing a window to deter where things will be placed in this bathroom. Notice how the mirror and light globes seem to float in front of the window.
