Holy. Smokes. I cannot believe how much time has passed since my last post! Life has been crazy busy with all kinds of good stuff.
One thing that has kept me busy are our kitchen cabinets. I FINALLY started painting them. I’m nearing the finish line and have some detail work to finish as well as the handles to install. I cannot believe what a difference it has made to the kitchen! Next step is to paint the walls and finish the backsplash. I’ll have more about what process I used in a post soon.
Our home building process is moving along with us doing a full interview with a builder and coming close to choosing a lot. I have some follow up questions for the builder but for the most part it feels right to partner with him and his team. What I think is really great is that we will have more time to be able to plan what kind of house to build since we thought we’d be in this process through the summer.
Amidst all of this I decided that I would start a bullet journal. I’ve been mulling over the idea for awhile now even though time was spent putting together a planner at the beginning of the year. I have tried to use it but some days it just doesn’t happen. There are parts of the planner I will continue to use but the bullet journal seems right for me with the way it can be totally customized. Plus, I can use it for the latter half of the year and if things go well I can get on board fully with it next year!
During this time away I had an amazing revelation about what I can do here, on this blog. I started with what I felt were the best of intentions for it but as I moved along I ended up not being fully in love with some of the things I wanted to do. One of my biggest things is to not be like everyone else and I felt like I was going to be doing more of the same of what’s out there and be a copycat of others. I don’t want this. I do want to stand out and give great ideas and tips while doing so. My revelation has given me a happy medium I feel and I can’t wait to get to work on it to share it with you all!
Until then here are my favorites this week!
Enjoy your weekend!
